Anjuna police apprehended a 23-year-old resident of Parra, Rohan Varma, during a narcotics raid conducted in the early hours of Tuesday.
Varma was found in possession of 900 grams of a substance suspected to be ganja, valued at Rs 90,000.
Acting on reliable information, the raid took place between 1.15 am and 3.30 am at Sonarkhed in Assagao.
The police team conducted a panchanama, seizing the suspected drugs and registered a case under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Varma was subsequently arrested, and the seized drugs were sent for further analysis.
Anjuna police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing to uncover additional details related to the case.
