PM likely to open Ayurveda complex at Dhargal: Shripad

Union Minister of State for Tourism, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shripad Naik on Thursday said the much-awaited project comprising the All India Institute of Ayurveda along with the 100-bedded Ayush Hospital, OPD and two Ayurveda graduation and post-graduation colleges at Dhargal-Pernem is likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Naik was speaking to reporters at Dabolim Airport after NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu left Goa for Maharashtra following a brief meeting with the MLAs and MPs in the State ahead of presidential elections.

"The Goa government had given us 2 lakh sq mtrs of land on which we took up the project of getting the All India Institute of Ayurveda to Dhargal and the works are almost on the verge of completion,” said Naik.

“We will also get a 100-bedded Ayush Hospital, OPD, research centre and graduation and post graduation colleges and we will try to open the OPD and graduation college this year itself. The works are completed and it is likely to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi when he arrives to inaugurate the Mopa Airport," said Naik.
