Acting on two separate complaints lodged by managements of two different starred hotels, Canacona police booked offences against local activists, including Congress leader Janardan Bhadari.
In a first complaint, the GM of one starred hotel claimed that around 12.45pm on December 12, a group of persons formed an unlawful assembly and trespassed in the resort and threatened the security officer with dire consequences.
The accused persons also abused and assaulted the staff of the resort as well as damaged the hotel property.
Canacona police registered the complaint and booked Yash Pagi, Sahil Gaonkar, Janardhan Bhandari, Vaishnav Pandekar and 25 others under sections 189(2),191(2),329(3).351(3), 115(2), 324(4), 352 r/w 190 BNS. The first four named accused have been served a notice under Section 35/3 of BNSS. Canacona PSI Shivram Gauns is investigating the case
In a second complaint, the resort owner stated that on December 12, Janardhan Bhandari, Vaishnav Pednekar, Ravish Komarpant, Suresh Metri and 25 others had formed an unlawful assembly, and forcibly trespassed the hotel. They abused and threatened the staff and management the hotel with dire consequences.
The accused blocked the entry and exit gate of the hotel by parking two and four wheelers on the gate thereby wrongfully restraining the movement of guests and hotel staff.
Canacona police registered the complaint under Sections 189(2), 191(2), 329(3), 351(3), 352, 126(2) r/w 190 BNS and Canacona PSI Ajit Velip is conducting investigation.
