With the autopsy report confirmed that the native of Bihar was murdered at Loutolim village on June 25 night, the Goa police has launched “technical” investigations into the mysterious case.
With the truck driver, who was suspected by the police for having been involved in the hit and run case, giving a statement that he had found Kanahiya’s body lying on the road before he drove his vehicle to the spot, the Police has launched technical investigations into the mysterious murder by trying to get mobile call details from the companies.
Sources said the Maina Curtorim police station in-charge, PI Arun Desai has a task cut out “ to trace the killers of the Bihari native who were present at the spot at the time the deceased was done to death.
He also have another task to find out the vehicle, which later ran over the body of the deceased, after he was stabbed to death.
The case has put the Goa police in the dock after investigations revealed that the deceased Kanahiya was dropped at the Loutolim by the Ponda police. Three policemen attached to the Ponda police station has been placed under suspension in connection with the case.
