CANACONA
Amid growing public anger and pressure on authorities to take action regarding the porn video filmed at the Chapoli Dam in Canacona, politics has also been on full display with opposition parties pointing fingers at the State government.
While Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes has submitted a complaint to police to initiate action against those involved in the porn video, a group of residents have also planned a protest march at the Canacona Dy Collector’s office on Wednesday to demand an FIR into the nudity in the video clip and trespass at the Chapoli Dam.
Fernandes and a group of people visited the Chapoli Dam site on Tuesday to have first-hand information regarding the alleged trespass by a film crew involved in shooting the pornographic video.
“I observed there is no security at the dam site, except for a permanent barricade erected to stop the movement of vehicles close to the dam. However, there are no restrictions in place to stop people from walking to the dam,” said Fernandes.
The alleged video seems to have been filmed by taking advantage of lax security at the place. I have now written to the police to initiate action against the perpetrators who not only trespassed but also filmed a nude woman at the Dam Regulator and pathway of the dam,” he added.
Meanwhile, Canacona Congress block president Prahlay Bhagat blamed the BJP government for permitting to shoot such a vulgar video.
“BJP is promoting porn mafia in Goa. We strongly condemn the disgusting act of the Pramod Sawant government,” said Bhagat.
Earlier, GPCC President Girish Chodankar said the BJP and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant have been exposed once again with a vulgar video of a model shot at a dam in Canacona emerging in social media platforms.
Shortly after the porn video surfaced on social media, the Water Resources Department (WRD) at Canacona had also complained to the Canacona police alleging trespass into the dam site and filming of a woman in objectionable postures.
A resident and devotee of Shri Mallikarjun also filed a police complaint stating that religious sentiments had been hurt as the Chapoli Dam site is a sacred place of Lord Mallikarjun.
