Porvorim Police Station has filed a charge sheet in the Kamakshi Udapnov murder case which was registered on August 31.
The charge sheet has been filed against two accused, Fakir Prakash Chunchwad and Nirupadi Kaddakal. The 600-page charge sheet, which has cited 51 witnesses, has been filed before the JMFC Mapusa.
Prakash Chunchwad (22), who was running a garage at Porovirm, was accused of killing his fiancée Kamakshi Udapnov who was staying in a rented flat at Porvorim and dumped her body at Amboli Ghat.
On August 30, Prakash had gone to Kamkshi’s rented flat Porvorim at night and allegedly killed her, before dumping her body at Amboli Ghat in his own car.
After conducting the investigation and arresting Prakash Chunchwad, Police left on September 1 for Amboli along with a forensic team and recovered the body of Kamakshi.
Police said Prakash Chunchwad had reportedly confirmed having committed murder since Kamakshi had broken her relationship with him.
