Former Power Minister Mauvin Godinho has filed an application before the South Goa Additional Sessions Court seeking directions to the prosecution to produce the police diary and other relevant documents pertaining to the investigations in the Power rebate scam case in the court.
Additional Sessions Judge Vincent D’Silva has posted the matter for hearing and reply by the Public Prosecutor on July 2.
The lawyer representing Minister Mauvin Godinho has filed the application seeking directions to the prosecution to place the police diary and other relevant documents before the Court apparently to prove that the police had re-investigated the Power rebate case and not further investigated as per the order of the court.
Mauvin and the other accused persons, including former Chief Electrical Engineer, T Nagarajan had sought discharge in the case on the plea that the police had re-investigated the alleged power scam case when the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Panaji had ordered further investigations in the case.
