Talukas of Canacona, Salcete, Sanguem, Quepem, besides parts of Dharbandora taluka will have no power supply on June 1 from 7 am to 3 pm as the Electricity Department has planned the Annual shut down on 20KV incoming interstate and intrastate lines.
A notice issued by Superintending Engineer, Circle-I, South Goa has stated that there will be no power supply during above period in entire talukas of Canacona, Salcete, Sanguem, Quepem, and part of Dharbandora taluka ie, village panchayat Kirlapal-Dahal, Shigao Collem, Mollem and part of Ponda taluka i.e V.P Panchwadi.
areas of Raia, Curtorim, Loutolim, Macazana and Verna, Majorda and Mormagao Taluka, however, will have power supply.
The Superintending Engineer has regretted the inconvenience that will be caused to consumers because of the shut down.
