Gaude has appealed all Goa MLAs to vote for Murmu considering her social work.
“It is our responsibility to appeal to all MLAs to vote for her,” Gaude said, adding that leaders of the BJP will be in touch with all MLAs to solicit their vote for Murmu.
The BJP has 20 MLAs of its own and enjoys the support of two legislators of the MGP and three Independents. On the other side of the aisle, the Congress has 11 MLAs, two belong to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and one each to the Goa Forward Party (GFP) and the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP).
