Acting on the petition of the Bhoma locals against the road widening project in the village, the President’s Secretariat as well as the Prime Minister’s Office have asked for details from the authorities concerned in the matter.
While the President’s Secretariat have sought details from the NHAI Regional Officer, Mumbai and the Project Director of Project Implementation Unit “ Goa, the PMO has sought details from the MORTH Land Acquisition Deputy Secretary and Project Director of Project Implementation Unit “ Goa.
Speaking to The Goan, one of the petitioners Sunil Bhomkar informed that with both the President’s Secretariat and PMO seeking details on the road widening issue, there is a ray of hope for the Bhomkars to get justice in the matter.
“There is a glimmer of hope for us Bhomkars in the fight against the road widening project which threatens our culture, our identity, our temples and our houses,” Bhomkar informed.
