MARGAO
Around a year ago, Law secretary Sandeep Jacques along with then South Goa district Collector, Jyoti Kumari had descended at the South Goa district and Sessions Court complex, to take stock of the parking situation as and when the proposed Margao Civil and Criminal Court building takes shape adjoining the complex.
The apparent objective behind the inspection by the senior bureaucrats along with PWD Officials was simple -- to explore a solution that would take care of the parking requirements when the new building takes shape in a year’s time.
A year down the line, the parking problem has come back to haunt the authorities again, with no permanent solution in sight.
If sources are to be believed, senior PWD officials are believed to have had a meeting with district and Sessions Court officials to discuss the parking provision for the new Court building when it becomes a reality in 2024.
