Questions raised over lack of jobs at South district hospital for Fatorda residents

MARGAO

A resident of Madel-Fatorda Milagres Fernandes on Wednesday questioned why people of Fatorda have not got jobs in the South Goa District Hospital when the hospital is located in the constituency.

Addressing the media outside the district hospital on Wednesday, Milagres further demanded to know how many Fatordekars have received employment in the government departments located in the constituency.

Saying that Health Minister Vishwajit Rane deserves credit if people from Valpoi and Sattari have got jobs in thehospital, Milagres demanded to know how come local Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai could not ensure that jobs in the hospital went to the unemployed youth from Fatorda.

Claiming that around 60 persons from neighbouring Margao have received employment in the district hospital, Milagres dared Sardesai to come out with figures and statistics as to how many unemployed youth from Fatorda have got jobs in the district hospital.

“Just  making noise over the functioning of the district hospital isn’t enough. The MLA ought to have fought to get jobs for the youth of Fatorda,” Milagres asserted.
