Restricted water supply to North Goa on Mar 10 & 11

Disrupted power, water to South Goa on Mar 11&14

There will be restricted water supply to most parts of North Goa on Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11 due to proposed power shutdown at Opa Water Works. 

Areas affected would be  Panaji Constituency, Taleigao Constituency, St Cruz Constituency, St Andre Constituency, Ponda Constituency, Cumbharjua Constituency, Priol Constituency, Marcaim Constituency, Shiroda Constituency (Part), Valpoi Constituency (Part) and Dharbandora Constituency (Part) including all defence establishment, industrial establishments and Goa Medical College. 33 KV power shutdown has been scheduled at Opa Water Works for installation of new transformers and installation of flow meter on conveying main of 750 mm dia (Green line) at Mangueshi, Priol.  

Meanwhile, there will be no power supply on Saturday, March 11 from 7 am to 3 pm in most areas of South Goa including Cuncolim, Balli, Margao, Benaulim, Velim, Carmona, Nessai, Cancona, Poinguinim, Rivona, Sanguem, Xelpem, Quepem, Assolda, Xeldem, Sanvordem, Shigao, Curchorem, Verna Industrial Estate, Cuncolim Industrial Estate and also to Salaulim water works at Xelpem. 

Planned annual Power shutdown has been arranged from 220/110/33/11 KV, 250 MVA substation at Xeldem in South -Goa on March 14 between 7 am to 3 pm in order to attend the pre-monsoon maintenance works on 220 KV, 110 KV & 33 KV lines and the switchyard at Xeldem and also in the associated 33/11 KV substations feed from 220 KV EHV Xeldem Sub-station including 33/11 KV Sub-station at Xeldem Yard.
