The Revolutionary Goans President, Viresh Borkar slammed the Congress MLA from St Andre, Francis Silveira for inefficiency, corruption and keeping the village backward in all aspects despite Curca being the richest panchayat in Tiswadi taluka.
“Unemployment is the biggest issue faced not only in Curca but across Goa. There are no proper public toilets, drainage system, roads, water and electricity being made available for the common man. Illegal slums have mushroomed during the term of the current MLA. There are several mega constructions either being built or being planned in the village. There is no proper ground for the youth to practice or play some form of sport,” pointed out Borkar during a visit to Curca recently.
While the Revolutionary Goans Supremo, Manoj Parab pointed out how employment opportunities had dwindled in the state during the rule of the BJP-led government.
“It was for the first time since Independence that the rate of inflation went into double digits after the BJP was voted into power. The rising prices of petrol, diesel, LPG gas cylinder and other essential commodities has left the common man high and dry. These 40 elected representatives have done nothing for the public. The have only increased their bank balances and assets by destroying Goa,” said Manoj.
