Sanguem farmers, green activists oppose project

SANGUEM

The farming community and environmentalists in Sanguem decided to oppose the proposed IIT project in their farmlands at Cotarli village, as soon as they became aware of a fresh site inspection by Sanguem MLA and Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Phaldessai and other officials.

“It was for these very reasons we had opposed the proposed IIT project at Sanguem the last time. The opposition will continue with the same fervour as it had been a year ago,” said a farmer, Pedro Cruz.
