The long-pending Varunapuri-Sada port connectivity road project is likely to be ready by December 15.
Speaking to reporters, Gamon India official R Prabhakaran said work is being expedited to ensure that much-awaited port connectivity project between Varunapuri and Sada is made available to people by December 19.
“As per directives of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, work has been expedited keeping in mind the deadline of December 15,” said Prabhakaran.
Meanwhile, Urban Development Minister Milind Naik also spoke on the progress regarding Gammon India’s port connectivity road to Berths 1 and 9.
“The port connectivity road to Berth 9 may be delayed by about eight months due to some changes in the bridge design. This road will be also connected with the up-ramp in Vasco,” said Naik.
Minister further said work on the connectivity to Berth 1 will be completed by December 15 as per the instructions from the chief minister.
“There was earlier some issue but it has been resolved and the connectivity project work is ongoing at a fast pace,” Naik added.
