Admitting that work on the new Kadamba bus stand in Bicholim had been delayed, Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye has stated that work has now been expedited and work on two floors is in progress.
Dr Shetye along with KTC official Sanjay Ghate, government officials, Bicholim Municipal Council Chairperson Kundan Falari and Councillor Aparna Phoge had visited the site to review the work in progress.
The first floor will house the transport office, while the second floor will be allotted to various amenities.
Dr Shetye said there is a plan to take an additional 1,000 sq.mtrs of land from the PWD to provide ample parking space at the new bus stand.
