A scooterist hailing from Bihar but residing in Kundaim died in a road mishap Bhoma-Ponda on Saturday noon.
Sunil Gupta (22) was found seriously injured on the road and before a police team could arrive at the site, onlookers rushed Gupta to the GMC hospital in a 108 ambulance, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Gupta was working as a delivery boy for an online shopping company.
Ponda Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Vinod Salunkhe, who conducted the panchanama, said the body would be handed over to the family after a post mortem.
Police investigations are underway to ascertain if it was a self-accident or if another vehicle was involved in the mishap.
