Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stressed the importance of promoting the theme ‘sustainability’ at the upcoming G20 Summit by showcasing and utilizing upcycled and recycled products.
“We will promote sustainability in the G20 meetings. In preparation for the summit in Goa, we will also include activities that promote Goan culture, heritage and sustainable tourism,” he said after holding a meeting with the G20 delegation to review the preparedness , at Secretariat on Monday.
The G20 officials expressed their willingness to promote Goa’s Cruise Tourism by hosting a ‘gala dinner' for the visiting delegates.
In a bid to promote tourism along with holding the Summit, the Goa government has planned excursions for visiting delegates to Goa’s iconic locations Fort Aguada and Se Cathedral, etc. The delegates will also attend various cultural programmes and activities under Samvad/Ratri Bhoj to enhance their cultural experience in Goa.
