Digambar, Alexio in the line of fire

MARGAO: A section of the protestors directed their ire at the Congress leaders pointing out that all the 40 MLAs were responsible for getting the people on the streets.

In fact, the agitators did not allow the Congress leaders led by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat to lead the rally saying they do not want the Congress and the BJP.

As the situation threatened to go out of control, Kamat, Alexio Sequeira and other Congress leaders withdrew to the roadside.

The protesters were angry that they had to hit the streets after electing the MLAs to represent them in the Assembly.

The Congress leaders and workers later joined the procession to the railway crossing with workers shouting slogans against the BJP.
