Political parties and politicos including leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai joined the protest rally at Chandor on Sunday midnight.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat and leaders Aleixo Sequeira, district president Joe Dias, Sankalp Amonkar along with Yuri Alemao came in a huge procession near the Church square withe party flags.
A group of Velim villagers led by Sarpanch Savio D’Silva also joined the protesters.
A number of sarpanchas including Chandor Sarpanch Edward D’Silva, Cavelossim Sarpanch Denis Dias, Sarzora sarpanch Sabita Mascarenhas and others were seen around.
A number of Aam Aadmi Party volunteers including Wenzy Viegas and others were present.
Led by party chief Vijai Sardesai, the Goa Forward leaders and workers left the Goemkar Ghor at 9 pm in a group before descending on Chandor to join the protest.
