Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that over Rs 1 crore has been released by way of compensation to people who have been affected by the recent floods in the State.
He said money has been transferred to the accounts of maximum people who have been affected by the natural calamity.
“Goa government released over Rs 1 crore to 301 beneficiaries of the Goa government’s flood relief programme. We hope this financial support provides help to the people affected in recovering from the devastation and restarting their lives,” Sawant said, in a tweet.
‘Apt decision on Bhumi Bill soon’: Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant said the Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini Bill has not been sent for governor’s assent yet while the process of collecting suggestions on the bill from public was still on.
“So far we have received 150 suggestions and the process is still on. The government will take appropriate decision on the bill after going through all the suggestions,” Sawant said.
