The State Election Commissioner (SEC) W V Ramanmurthy is expected to declare on Tuesday the dates and schedule of the Supreme Court deferred election process for the five municipal councils of Mapusa, Margao, Mormugao, Quepem and Sanguem.
The SEC has scheduled a press conference on Tuesday where Ramanmurthy is likely to announce the detailed election process which had been prevented from being conducted along with the March 20 polling for the Corporation of the City of Panaji and six other municipal councils by the Courts for violation of the Constitutional mandate on reservation of wards.
