A 42-year-old unidentified person was found killed on therailway tracks near the Dabolim railway station on Thursday morning.
Vasco police rushed to the site after receiving informationat 7 am that an unknown person was found lying in a pool of blood on therailway tracks.
Police said that both the hands and the neck of the victimwere tied with a rope. Police also noticed that the body had multiple injurieson head and other parts of body.
“The incident must have happened during the wee hours ofThursday. It appears that the accused must have tried to pass it off as anaccident, as the body was thrown on railway tracks after committing the crime,”Vasco PI, Rupendra Shetgaonkar said.
The Vasco police have registered a case of murder undersection 302 and PI Rupendra Shetgaonkar `is further investigating the case.
