The death of Nadia Torraddo, a suicide case inwhich former tourism Minister Fransisco (Mickky) Pachecco was arrested, is withpolitical flavour, chief minister Manohar Parrikar told this to the statelegislative assembly on Friday. Parrikar assured to reinvestigate this casewhere Miccky was booked for abetment of suicide.
Chief Minister said that the case had a political flavour,“we will reassess the case and investigate into it” Parrikar said. Mickky, theNuvem MLA, questioned why in selected cases of death to Ratol consumption thepeople are arrested for abetment of suicide, while rest scot free. ChiefMinister said that there has been different criteria’s adopted by police insimilar cases
Nadia Torraddo died after consuming Ratol paste at herresidence in Loutolim village. Police had held Pacheco responsible for hersuicide and arrested him, who stood behind bars for 14 days. Pacheco had toresign from the state cabinet and was arrested after death of his close friend,Torraddo, in June 2010.
