Goa Professional League winners Salgaocar Football Club will clash with FC Bardez Goa, the winners of the Goa Police Cup (knock-out tournament), in the season opening Champions Trophy Charity Match on August 27 at Duler Stadium, Mapusa at 4 pm.
The tickets for the Charity match are priced at Rs 50 for all the stands while the tickets for VIP stand are priced at Rs 200.
Both the teams met in last year's Goa Pro League with Salgaocar FC winning both the home and away games. Salgaocar FC having a st
rong squad will come out all guns blazing against the Pink Brigade and will try to get a win. FC Bardez are coached by Armando Colaco and managed by Andrew Gomes. The Bardez side have made drastic changes to their squad by only retaining five players from 2016-17 squad. Jessel Carneiro, Lenstan Afonso, Shubham Rao Dessai, Kritikesh Gadekar and Jesmon Soares have been retained by the club.

Lenstan Afonso, a prominent member of the FC Bardez squad said: "The squad has changed but we will give our all. We have lost to them in the previous meetings but we won't let it happen again."
