Playing in front of a decent crowd, Temba started the match on the front foot wherein Shawyn's freekick scrapped past the wall and went out of play. At the other end, St Caitan's Rohan tried a shot at goal which missed the mark. Temba's Agnelo then went for goal with a right-footed volley which was well dealt by St Caitan keeper Dhiraj.
Moments later Rohan scored the first goal of the game for St Caitan A after receiving a lovely ball from Prakash from the right flank. Temba looked to equalise through Agnelo after he headed a corner which was pushed to safety by St Caitan goalkeeper Dhiraj. Shawyn tried to score from a freekick for Temba and yet again missed by whiskers. The winners led 1-0 at the break.
In the second half, St Caitan scored in the first minute of the session after Prakash headed in a corner by Dishaunk. Kenned then tried another attempt to score but he headed the ball on the side netting. Prakash looking to score another one leapt the highest but his header went way over the bar. In the dying minutes, Dayesh netted the third after he slotted the ball home with his right.
St Caitan A were richer by Rs 15,000 as for Temba they had to be content with Rs 10,000. St Cruz MLA and chief guest Tony D'Costa gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of FC Goa Assistant Coach Derrick Pereira, India women's team Head Coach Maymol Rocky, GFDC Chairman Dr Rufino Monteiro and other dignitaries.
Temba keeper Francis was adjudged as the player of the tournament. Man of the match award was bagged by Dishaunk of St Caitan A.
