In the quarter finals, Goa recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over hosts Gujarat before bowing out to Madhya Pradesh 1-3 in the semis.
In Individual events, Goa's top ranked women's player Anjana Kumari moved into the Junior Girls (U19) singles finals with a convincing 21-18, 21-12 win over Riya Arolkar in the quarter-finals followed by another comfortable 21-14, 21-9 win over Dipti Kuity in the semis.
Anjana will face top seed Rashi Lambe in the finals. Anjana by virtue of her performance secured a direct qualification in the nationals which will be held at Nagpur later this year. In Senior team event, Goa lost 3-0 to Gujarat. Maharashtra beat Madhya Pradesh 3-2 to win the Junior Mixed Team championship title while Madhya Pradesh beat Gujarat 3-2 to win the Senior Mixed team title.
