Five constables granted bail by High Court

Five constables attached to the anti-narcotics cell were granted conditional bail on Monday morning by the High Court after almost three months.

All five were arrested by the Central Bureau ofInvestigation (CBI) in May 2012 for allegedly planting drugs on Israeli drugdealer, David drahim alias Dudu.

The constables, Mahadev Naik, Mahabaleshwar Sawant, SameerWarkhandekar, Naguesh Parsekar and Eaurmia Guraya, were part of team whichraided Dudu at Anjuna in 2010.

The constables had been booked under various sections of theNarcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act and 120 (B) of IPC readwith 20(b), 21(b) and 21(c) of NDPS Act.

More trouble for Ponda Teacher accused of molestation

Two more cases of molestation were reported against a teacher from Shiroda village, who is currently arrested for molesting 14 year old girl.

Ponda police, who are investigating the case, have receivedtwo more complaints from a parent, who has alleged that his both the daughter,who were taught by the accused, were molested.Yogesh Khandeparkar, a teacher, was arrested last week afterone of the NGO alleged that he had molested a 14 year old girl student.Police stated that parents of both the sisters aged 12 and15 respectively today filed a complaint that the accused had been molestingtheir daughter since July 2012…
