Vijai takes on Parrikar in Goemkar meet along with politicians, activists

Vijai Sardessai in a show of strength and in bid to form aregional outfit pointed out on the anniversary of the Opinion Poll that Goa hashad no voice for the last fifty years. Mocking Chief minister ManoharParrikar’s IIT degree, Vijai pointed out that the IIT degree will leave Goa tostarve as the Chief Minister is part of the 50-year old lobby and will sell Goaat the ghats with the inception of a Mopa airport.

“While Maharashtra dreams to transform Konkan intoCalifornia, through the joint venture of the Congress and BJP whose HighCommand hs the Pawars and other leaders from Maharastra, our CM nicknamed Bhaiis being the real fixer of this dream while Goa’s constituencies are alreadyeconomically down with the mining and tourism mess,” pointed Fatorda MLA VijaiSardessai.

Taking a dig at Alina Saldanha, he reiterated that hardly8-months after Matanhy’s death, the CM who said we’ll keep Matanhy’s dreams andgoals alive has gone ahead with Mopa which the late leader opposed and sadlyhis wife Alina has also forgotten Matanhy. Vijai urged the government toconstitute a green award in Matanhy’s memory, a demand by the Fatorda MLA sincelast year.

Addressing a crowd of over 4,000 people from across Salceteat the Lohia Maidan, Margao, the Fatorda MLA pointed out that opposing Mopa andfighting for Dabolim is not a North v/s South battle but fighting for Goa’sidentity and building an airport that will benefit the neighbouring state ofMaharashtra. Vijai urged the CM to stop fooling the people with unwantedstatistics on Dabolim and Mopa and lie about a tender clause that Dabolim willbe allowed to function despite setting up Mopa.

“ Mopa will first involve the Mauvin Godinho’s and laxmikantParsekar’s who have invested in land over there. Then the AAI, Civil Aviationand defense authorities and last Parrikar who will retire apparently frompolitics and then Dabolim will be shut while our IITian will have screwed and ruinedGoa but smile in retirement,” asserted Vijai.

Speaking on the mining mess, Vijai pointed out that theChief Minister is playing dirty by not booking members of the 8-powerful miningfamilies and politicians named in the Shah Commission. “ BJP water resourcesminister Mandrekar’s son is the BJP’s youth president, while Sunburn is beingallowed in a such a way that during our divine season of Christmas, Singh runPercept group loots Goa of Rs 250 crores and goes back and corruptioncontinues. The BJP government is nothing but old corrupt Congress wine in a newbottle,” pointed out Vijai.

At the Goemkar meeting, a voice vote was taken and nineresolutions were unanimously passed at the Goemkar meet including setting up aLokayukta and scrapping the proposed khazan land development board.

"Government should forthwith implement the concept of'Goemkar First' in all its policies including education, employment, agriculture , tourism , housing industries and scrap plans of a Mopa airportwhile resolve mining and the Mayem evacuee mess," stated Vijai close aideand activist Prashant Naik. Convenor Vijai Sardesai demanded that thegovernment issue public ads to initiate the consultant process for notifying RP2021 and stated that he will give Parrikar unconditional support as demanded bythe CM recently only after all the nine resolutions are met.
