BJP State President Sadanand Tanavade has recently stated that the BJP has begun ground work in all constituencies for contesting the ensuing Assembly polls. He also said that the party election-in-charge Devendra Fadnavis is presently in talks with the Maharashtra Gomantak Party (MGP) for pre-poll alliance. It seems in case the said talks become unsuccessful, then the BJP would contest the polls on its own strength to win the elections. However, considering the earlier move on the part of the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to expel the MGP supremo Sudin Dhavalikar from the State cabinet, it is rather undesirable and totally unwarranted for the BJP to make alliance of any sort with the MGP. It is absolutely necessary that the BJP contest the polls all alone and exhibit its capacity to come to power in running the State administration. In case the citizens have trust on this party they would definitely vote the BJP thereby leading it towards a possible victory during the Assembly polls scheduled in 2022. Hence, all possible talks with the MGP for any alliance should be scrapped altogether.
