The Congress in Goa is now a two-wheeler but one can't say whether it is a cycle or punctured bike without fuel. Pratapsingh Rane jumped once from MGP to enjoy a lifetime in Congress holding position of power and gradually introduced his son to maintain continuity. Only time will tell whether in his sun set years Pratapsingh's dual loyalty will continue. Kamat ditched his party too and enjoyed honeymoon with Congress and perks of position power as the CM.
BJP by enticement, allurement, coercion threats, pressure, influence have decimated Congress and succeeded in creating 'Congress-mukt Goa', which is national agenda of BJP. Congress had too many ambitious CM candidates that was its bane. The tussle for power was its downfall and they did not mind the consequences. Reginaldo was a known dissident having vowed not to enter Congress headquarters until the incumbent was dismissed. He was known to be nursing his wounded feelings silently to strike at an opportune moment. Congress in Goa has lost its relevance as a party no more enjoying the trust of voters. For too long they fed the illusion of standing for the rights of minority in the South to corner power.
