Covid testing needed for large groups coming from abroad

The first cruise liner of the season 'Viking Mars' has arrived at Mormugao harbour carrying some 1,100 persons, including passengers and crew on November 16. One wonders whether Covid testing has been done for all of them. Recently a similar cruise liner carrying 800 people reached Sydney harbour with all of them testing positive for Covid. We have had enough of people leaking Covid into Goa during the pandemic through the inter-State bus services, railway stations and the airport. While welcoming these guests we should have told them that the Covid testing is required as much as it is for them but also for the protection of the Goan people. The Covid tentacles are again spreading abroad though in a limited way in China and among high profile people like the Prime Minister of Pakistan testing positive for Covid after visiting his brother, Nawaz Sharif in London last week. Thus we should be alert and take adequate precautions particularly when large groups from abroad are coming to the State.

CCP have no control over their contractor?

It is a clear case of cheating done by a CCP contractor on drainage work near Bal Bhavan. Many months back people have seen quite a number of cables protruding in the air near Bal Bhavan on the other side of road closer to Parade ground and when Panjimites and vehicle drivers made noise the drain area was quickly closed and directed  towards other side of the banyan tree after closure with cement blocks.
