Upgrade most Sub Health Centres, including Arpora

Last Saturday, an 88-year-old man visited a sub health centre in Arpora for his diabetes check-up, where he was told that the diabetes check-up was not available or not done today.  Today the polio dose is being given. So the old man waited and started getting dizzy. The point to be made here is that a diabetes test kit should be available at any time at a sub health centre. Diabetes services should  be available not only at this sub health centre but all other centers in Goa during working hours.

It is unfortunate that an 88-year-old does not receive diabetes screening service.  Therefore, it is a request to the health centre or the health minister that all the sub-centres in Goa should have the facility of checking diabetes during duty hours.  Because diabetes screening is done in a jiffy.  Insert the needle into the finger.  Put the blood on the machine.  See the results.  But, daily checks should be done. Our health minister must take note as this is not a complaint but a humble suggestion.
