Door-to-door garbage collection in Ponda needed

At Velop-Kapileshwari in Ponda, the residents have been noticed dumping household garbage along the roadsides, in open areas, and also inside the nullahs.

Such a situation is rather undesirable and needs to be discouraged at all costs. It is the need of the hour that hygienic conditions are maintained at this location.

With a view to improve the existing undesirable situation it would be advisable for the local village panchayat to introduce door-to-door collection of garbage so that cleanliness is maintained at this particular jurisdiction.

Along with this, it is equally important that the collected garbage is disposed off in an appropriate manner rather than dumping the same at any particular spot.

Introduction of above system would go a long way in keeping the jurisdiction neat and tidy thereby assuring hygienic conditions to the local population.

Let us hope that the village panchayat would initiate prompt positive action.
