It is common knowledge that students across the state, especially those in rural areas, are finding it difficult to keep pace with the online teaching sessions being conducted by their schools during the pandemic due to connectivity problems. Students can miss their studies due to poor connectivity. The solution to this problem could be electronic tabs provided with pre-loaded educational material. It is understood that in order to help at least one batch of Class X students from a rural government primary school to overcome lack of internet connectivity, the staffers of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, will sponsor electronic tabs for such students of a rural government high school. The government needs to implement a scheme to provide poor students from the villages who also experience connectivity with electronic tabs with pre-loaded educational material. Industries and prominent business houses and the general public need to come forward and sponsor these electronic tabs. With the assistance of the schools, these electronic tabs could be pre-loaded with educational material. It will be as good as students referring to a text-book for the study material which can also be referred back by the students if need be. This way students in the rural areas will not have to go to the forests and open areas in search of connectivity.
