Goans must decide whether they want change or are happy to continue with the same lot who promise change, but never deliver.
I am a Goan living outside Goa but visit Goa regularly as I have retired 16 yrs ago. I look at the situation objectively, like an observer. The electric supply in Calangute is very erratic. In the summer months , the oppressive heat is unbearable. And sometimes power is not restored for hours. I've read of politicians of different hues, promising uninterrupted power supply with the setting up of a power station in Calangute. But this has not happened. If you cannot put up a power station in 15 years, what can you do? Over the years I have made several friends among the locals. They get water supply for only an hour or two every alternate day! Most ridiculous. How can the locals tolerate this nonsense for so many years?
The Aam Aadmi Party stormed to power in Delhi with ambitious promises. And they kept their promises. From where did they get their money? Simple. They did away with govt corruption. There was full transparency in govt dealings and works. And the money saved was more than enough to give Delhi free water, free electricity, good roads, excellent govt schools and a lot more. Goans must decide. Do they want change or prefer to continue griping?
