The people of Goa, along with NGOs and other groups, are fighting for the right to save and protect the Old Goa heritage and UNESCO site, but the Goa Government is in a deaf, blind, speechless mode.
The illegal bungalow on the heritage site is still standing strong instead of being demolished, but the top leaders from the BJP government are protecting it, which shows that the CM and Panchayat minister are too involved in favour of the party that has forcefully built the bungalow on the world heritage site. Even various projects are waiting to destroy the peaceful environment and atmosphere in Old Goa.
I don't understand why the citizens of Goa have to come out on the streets all the time to save and protect our Goa for future generations. Can the government of Goa not listen to the voices of thousands of people who have been demanding the demolition of the bungalow on the heritage site for years?
The world is protecting its rich historical and heritage places, but in Goa, the government is changing the old history and geography by writing its own books as if they are reborn or by acting overly smart. To demolish the houses of poor people who built with hard-earned money, the government of Goa takes zero time, but for rich people, the government remains silent. This clearly shows that the laws, rules, and regulations are different for poor people and the richest people in our country.
Today, the government system in Goa is totally corrupt, and the government's aim is to divide the people in the name of religion so that they can do whatever they like to destroy and sell Goa to top builders, mafias, and real estate agents. The MLAs and ministers have no fear of anyone and think that sitting on a political chair makes them more powerful than God, but they will cry in the fire of hell on Judgment Day.
