No clarity on monetary limit for house repairs

The latest house repair declaration by the CM has created some confusion along with panchayat office bearers and and interested villagers too. The specific limit for house repairs in Goa, as announced in the latest circular by the CM  is not explicitly stated. However, the circular likely simplifies the process for house repairs, allowing them to proceed with a streamlined approval process, particularly for old houses. The circular suggests that panchayat secretaries will issue NOCs for house repairs within 3 days, further simplifying the process. While the circular aims to facilitate house repairs, it doesn't set a specific monetary limit. The focus is on streamlining the approval process and making it easier for residents to proceed with necessary repairs, particularly for old houses. Some panchayat officials say, estimated cost of the house repair should not go beyond Rs 50,000. Now, who will decide this matter? After obtaining the latest circular and completing format application, a old lady approached a village panchayat for house repairs permission. But the application was refused for crossing estimated amount beyond Rs50,000/. Now, government should decide the matter without prejudice.
