It is really sad and shocking to see that in the name of development the Khapreshwar temple idol and a 200-year-old banyan tree branches was cut and the tree is shifted for relocation. The government knows very well that the tree will not last anymore and will die slowly. The CM Pramod Sawant who is always blaming and saying that the Portuguese had demolished the Hindu temples in Goa, but now the people of Goa know who is destroying Hindu temples in Goa. Even the Christian crosses and chapels are targeted in the name of development. The politicians who have taken oaths and cheated on Hindu, Muslims and Christians gods have no fear of anyone as they think they are gods when they are in power. We the people of Goa don't want any development by destroying our ancient history. The people of Porvorim should teach a lesson to their MLA during the next election and the BJP government should immediately replace the idol of Khapreshwar at the same place by building new temple after the corridor work is complete.
