Police should monitor fake Portuguese passport agents

The Old Goa police has reportedly arrested one individual on charges of duping many persons by promising to make forged documents and Portuguese passports in Goa. The said individual was believed to be operating for the last 8-10 years and was instrumental in cheating around 50-60 persons from across Goa for lakhs of rupees under the pretext of providing them Portuguese passports and jobs abroad, mainly in European & American countries. Well, there are many agents who are found indulging in such type of illegal activities and duping Goans on a daily basis.

And the reason behind this is because they know that most Goans who are desperate to go to foreign countries in search of jobs today by even spending lakhs of rupees are ready to do almost anything to acquire their Portuguese passports in Goa. I therefore think that the Goa police should henceforth keep a thorough check on the illegal activities of all such fake agents in the state, and if possible bring them to book at the very earliest.
