As an observer of earlier Sunburn events in North Goa under the current Goa BJP Govt, I have noticed how the Goa Ministers/MLAs concerned always seem to have given the impression to Goans that Sunburn was "possibly" not to be given permissions until the final days, when the Goa govt permissions were surprisingly/urgently given to the Sunburn organisers. I suspect that all these "games" by Goa Govt were being done to avoid any possible protest/legal challenge by Goans to stop the Sunburn from happening. The latest news is that Sunburn organisers want to have the event in South Goa which could not have happened without the tacit understanding of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and the other concerned ministers/MLAs. Goa, if kept clean, garbage free, sewage free, green, non polluted, competitively priced, easy/affordable transportation and other other basics in order; can easily attract a lot of premium tourists. South Goa is comparatively peaceful and should be kept that way. If any of the Goa ministers are concerned about their personal "commission/revenue' loss from declining the Sunburn they could lobby for the event to take place in a state like Gujarat where generally their high command operates from.
