Thousands of litres of water go down drain in Siolim

There has been frequent breakdown of PWD water pipelines along the MDR-6 road in Siolim . On World Water Day our government spends lakhs of rupees of the exchequer to put up advertisements informing and creating awareness among the public to save water that leaks in our houses through taps, etc. When it comes to the government department itself our engineers and the line supervisors fail to rectify leaking water lines for days and weeks . The complaint number 2420069/70 often remains unattended or out of order. In Siolim there are two places where water has been overflowing on the main road at Marna in Valadares vaddo near Victoria House and near the Pinto house in Bamon vaddo /tender coconut seller cart.  This leakage is under the rainstorm drain  for several days and yet to be attended with thousand of litres of precious treated water goes down the drain or roads. I request the PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral and his engineers create a WhatsApp number for water complaints immediately. We cannot go on losing so much water  while the engineers/field supervisors  sit on their chairs and get fat paid salaries for the public to see such negligence of service? It's high time we have a water sentinel scheme introduced for the public to alert the PWD Water Department of Goa.

The time has come to…
