After Zuari Bridge traffic chaos now it's Atal Setu traffic chaos in Panaji. For last 3 days the Atal Setu bridge is closed for traffic and has affected the traffic flow from Panaji to Mapusa and other cities. The bridge is closed for inspection and repairs which is built by L&T company. Now entering Panaji city itself is big challenge and then going to Mapusa and Porvorim is another issue. The common people and also government staff coming from other cities to Panaji and further are affected and can't reach their offices on time. The common man has to bear all the trouble and has no say except to curse traffic police. Now we have Budget assembly session from March 27 and one has to see how all the MLAs reach the assembly on time. The construction of the bridge was by L&T, a well-known company which should be held accountable for substandard work. The government and traffic cell must come together and find a solution to the traffic chaos and plan a better route to avoid such hurdles to smooth flow of traffic to Panaji city.
