Unsafe buildings are grave risk to people

The unsafe and dilapidated buildings in Goa are grave risk to people.  It includes private and government buildings that are in a precarious state and serve as a stark reminder to the people. There are no proper structural audits done to some of the dilapidated and unsafe buildings and the risk they pose to public. Even some of the buildings have  flourishing business activities which is a serious concern. Some people carry out basic renovation work and don’t care about structural stability of their buildings. This could prove dangerous in the monsoon season.  The lives of the innocent people cannot be put at grave risk due to the negligence of government authorities. The government authorities should identify the dilapidated and unsafe building in every jurisdiction of Goa.
