Apropos to the news item, ‘Utpal welcome to join AAP: Kejriwal’ (The Goan Everyday, January 16, 2022), it appears that the followers and admirers of former Goa CM the late Manohar Parrikar Bhai are upset. They are unable to see the insults heaped upon their beloved leader’s son Utpal Parrikar Bab aka Jr Parrikar Bab. Utpal is keen on carrying his father’s legacy. He has been asking his party for a ticket to fight Goa Assembly Elections 2022. His party does not seem to be interested much to the shock of Sr Parrikar Bhai’s followers.
Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal seems to soft have a softy corner for Jr Parrikar. The former is ready to accept the latter into the Goa Aam Aadmi Party. Utpal must not think twice. He has given enough time to Goa BJP. Time is fast running out. He must throw down the gauntlet at his detractors in his late father’s party.
Utpal must join Goa AAP and fight the elections from Sankhali constituency on AAP ticket. It is time to show the incumbent CM Pramod Sawant that this face-off in his own backyard between him and his mentor’s side-lined son Jr Parrikar Bab will prove what wins. Sympathy wave or development? Nepotism or excellence? Naamdaar (one with a famous name or surname) or kaamdaar (the one who toils hard)?
