The restrictions in states are creating problems for inter-state movement of goods and services which are impacting supply chains resulting in the disruption of economic activity and employment. In various states and districts, there are local-level restrictions. The unlock-3 guidelines clearly state that there shall be no restrictions on the inter-state and intra-state movement of goods and persons. It is also stated that no separate permission, approval or e-permit will be required for the movement of person and goods for cross land border trade under treaties with neighbouring countries. And such restriction amounts to the violation of guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs under provisions of DMA Act, 2005. But there should be stricter actions to curb the pandemic by way of facemask, social distancing, hygiene, etc. Who knows when this will come to a halt. But in the name of the pandemic, people's representatives and government offices should not take advantage and deny services to the public.
