Over the years Brazil has given some of the greatest footballers to the world. They include players like Pele, Zico, Socrates, Romario, Cafu, Socrates, Ronaldinho to name a few. Except for Real Madrid fans, not many Goans may have heard of the Brazilian footballer Vinicius Jr. He is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team. Vinicius Jr. is regarded as the world’s most promising young player. According to football pundits he is a diminutive, dynamic, intelligent, hard-working, and nimble winger, with impressive passing ability. They say he possesses explosive acceleration, and excellent pace, agility, technique and dribbling skills. Although Vinicius Jr is usually deployed on the left flank, it is understood that he is capable of playing anywhere along the front line. With Real Madrid, his goal scoring and assist output reportedly increased dramatically, enabling him to form an effective offensive partner with striker Karim Benzema. Neymar himself described Vinicius Jr. as "the best player in the world”. Everyone is looking forward to watching the new football star play in the FIFA World Cup, Qatar in November 2022.
