A few days back it was reported that Rs 10 crore worth of cash, liquor, jewellery and drugs suspected to be used in bribing voters were seized.
But drugs? Are the elections funded by the drug mafia?
The CEC must get down to the root of the matter and not remain casual about it. This is very serious. Are drugs synonymous with Goa?
More serious is the fact that political leaders have nothing on drug eradication in their manifestos and nothing on stopping noise pollution.
All these leaders are aware of the number of illegal massage parlours but do not address the same. They only want to get elected and profit from all this.
Power and decision making must lie with the people. They must have the veto on what type of business they want in their midst.
It is not known if the CEC is keeping a watch on casinos which are highly suited to cash withdrawal and distribution.
