For the past 10 days the Sub Registrar at Mapusa is absent. Appointments for online property registration have been given well in advance. Applicants have been travelling long distances to complete registration of deeds. But no one is interested in helping the applicants. Instead assistants are believed to be demanding Rs 10,000 per applicant to complete the online formalities. The Anti Corruption Bureau needs to step in, set up a trap and nab the corrupt officials at the earliest.
